I am setting up a new computer and have discovered that the updates for Motorola Phone Tools (I have 5.05) are no longer available on Motorola Live Update!! Without an update I can no longer sync my phone (VA76r) with MPT as it is not supported in ver 5.05.I NEED a newer version.

Can anyone PLEASE tell me where to download a higher version or send me the file.There is still so much on Motorola.com about Motorola Phone Tools and how to install, how to update, how to use, what versions you need for what. The list goes on and on. But there are NO updates.Please help. JTH, I just installed MPT 5.05 from original disc to my 64 bit Win 7 laptop, and before it even came to closing the install and opening the program the MLU co-installed already had notification open to download/install update available. It actually jumped thru 2 updates to MPT, 5.27 then to 5.31a, so it is out there and available; you may want to double-check that you haven't inadvertently denied MLU web access. Also a possibility- try opening MLU using right-click and select 'run as administrator'. With Win 7 even if you only have 1 user account (which automatically makes it an admin) if a program wasn't installed under admin rights you still have to manually select to run as admin when opening it.Hope that helps.
