I tried to install all of the ones I was supposed to, but I couldn't find which network driver was needed for my computer, so right now I'm using an external network adapter. Without it, the wireless does not work. How do I know which driver to download, and where do I download it?

May 21, 2012I've been having this problem for a few weeks, at first I thought it was the internet itself, but the other computers in the house are fine. A few times a day it just suddenly stops working and in the bottom right hand corner of the screen in the internet options section it says currently connected to: unidentified network. When I click connect again it says wireless adapter not found, 'Wireless Network Connection'doesn't have a vailid IP configuration. Sometimes it can stay off for a lot longer and it's generally random times of the day that it happens. I'm using an XPS L502X Jan 1, 2009I have a XPS M1210 laptop running Windows XP.

It has a Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG Net adapter for wireless connection. Following a recent reinstall of windows XP, my wireless no longer works.

The Intel Proset / Wireless software is controlling the wireless connection and it indicates that the wireless is turned off. It states that I should use the wireless On/Off switch to enable it. I can find no such switch to enable the wireless.I have seen that the Fn + F2 combinaion should toggle the switch, but it does not work on my system. In the device manager, everything seems to be installed and working correctly. In Control Panel / Network Connections, the Intel Pro/Wireless is shown for the wireless Network Connection, but it is shown as not connected.how to turn on the adapter so that I can make a wireless connection? Feb 5, 2012Is something from computer inspiron 530's vista intel pentuim dual core blocking my signal from my wirless usb adapter netgear n300 wna 3100 from going on line? Seems to work on other computers in the house that isnt dell.

Nov 5, 2011I have a XPS 15 (502x). It has the above adapter installed but when I insert my sim card it says no network available.I use the same sim card in a USB modem and it works fine. May 3, 2011So I am using a dell inspiron 600m. I have problems with the wireless Internet (well any Internet for that matter). It tell me that there is no supported wireless adapter. The weird thing about it is that if I reinstall windows (windows xp, sp3) and the drivers then it works. But the next day it has the same problem.Tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.Switching off all antivirus and firewall settings May 30, 2012My laptop's wireless network adapter is not working Eventually I managed to re install the driver but that did absolutely nothing and now it won't connect unless I have the ethernet cable plugged in.

It also no longer will tell me there is a problem with the adapter, it just refuses to bring up any wireless connections. My laptop is a Dell N5110. Mar 12, 2011I am using a DELL Laptop, it says wireless adapter not connected, im on windows 7 Feb 6, 2013Can I make my old XPS 210 wireless internet with either a card or an adapter? If so, which ones. Jan 15, 2012From the Dell Drivers and Downloads page, I downloaded the WiFi Link 5300 driver (R213215.exe) assuming it would enable my WiFi to run.

Drivers

I tried to install it and was met with an error message: 'This installation is not supported on this operating system version. The setup application will exit.' It will not install and my WiFi is still down.My system is an Alienware m15x with Windows 7 64-bit. I recently re-installed Windows due to a small bug that was hampering Google Chrome. Before I re-installed Windows, the WiFi was working just fine. Any working WiFi driver? Jul 25, 2012I have re-installed XP then the drivers for my Inspiron B130 from the original discs, in the order recommended.

I can access the internet OK, but I keep getting a message in the toolbar that says I need to install a wireless adapter. Apr 11, 2012My parents own two old Dell Latitude D505 laptops, and they want to use them with their wireless internet. They have one Belkin Wireless G Notebook Network Card (#F5D7010), but when I put it in, it says I have to download the drivers for it, and can't find the drivers. I tried downloading the Belkin Driver, but it still says another driver is missing. My question: Would it be possible to download the driver on my mac, transfer it to the dell with a flash drive and install it?

If so, how do I find the right one?

I tried to plug a usb into my broken usb port (broke i day i got it, 3 years ago) and my cpu made the sound of a usb being unplugged from cpu, so then i realized and plugged my flash drive into my working drive, and nothing happened. So i figured, ill just restart my cpu and try again, no big deal.

Now it wont do anything. When i plug the power cord in, the only way to actually know that it has power is a yellow 'Aux LED pwr) light in the back lights up, and a green blinking light where my ethernet cable would go lights up on and off.

There are no lights on my power button, and nothing hapens when i hit it. I can hold down the power button for 30 seconds and the LED light in the back goes out, but thats about it. Wow, ok I have the EXACT same problem.Pressing my power button does nothing. I just turned my Desktop off one night and when I tried to turn it on the next morning it didn't work at all. I didn't consider the relelvance until now but both my front USB slots were broken, but one of them I still used to an extent. This is relevent because it seems that in the Dell XPS 420 the power button is connected to the card connected to the front USBs, sound Input/Output ect.

This is not a usual way of laying out a Desktop.Did you find a solution? I had the same problem, left for work and when I tried to turn on the comp it did nothing. I initially thought the problem was the power supply, even though I could see that the ethernet light and the amber mobo light were on.

I ordered a new power supply and changed it out only to find that things were exactly the same.Next step I decided to open things up and have a look. Download software a skillz and krafty kuts tricka technology rar. I completely disassembled the front of the computer and disconnected the usb hub from the front.

I will also note here that I had just recently yanked one of the usb connections real hard breaking it. Ok so once i had the power button that plugs into the usb hub disconnected I untied the wires. Two or three mini zip ties and then a piece of tape and unwound the six wires. There are six wires and 7 slots in the plug so one of them is not used. The end that has one wire then a space is the one you want. Take that wire and the one on the other side of the space, cut them and splice them together. Now just plug it back in, reassemble and when you plug it in it should start up.I had some more problems after this.

It just randomly shut off and when I powered down the power supply and turned it back on it would shut off two seconds later. So I took out the mobo battery and put it back in. Restart and it works now. Pain in the. but I wasn't taking no for an answer.
